Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 02, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

User Tracking and App Privacy

Our app uses location tracking and displays advertisements. Here's what you need to know:

Location Tracking

The Application collects precise location data, and collects it in the background — that is, while the Application is minimised, while your screen is off, and while the Application is not open. Background collection is what allows the Application to alert you as you approach your destination station without requiring you to keep the app on screen for your entire journey.

Advertising and Data Collection

Our app uses Google AdMob for displaying advertisements. Through AdMob:

How this relates to the location section above. The Application does not send your location to Google or to anyone else. However, Google AdMob operates independently inside the app and may derive an approximate location from your IP address, and may use location signals you have permitted at the operating-system level, in order to serve personalized ads. If you would prefer this not to happen, you can disable ad personalization in your device settings (on Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; on iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). The Application's own station-alert functionality is unaffected by that choice.

Android Permissions

On Android, the Application declares the following permissions. Each is listed with the reason it is needed. You may deny or revoke any of them at any time in Settings → Apps → Next Stop: Delhi Metro → Permissions.

iOS Permissions

On iOS, the Application requests the following. You may deny or revoke any of them at any time in Settings → Next Stop: Delhi Metro.

Data Stored On Your Device

The Application saves a small amount of information locally on your device so it is there the next time you open it: your recent route searches, your saved favourite routes and stations, and whether you have seen the introductory tutorial. This data never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is deleted when you uninstall the Application or clear its storage from your device settings.

The Application has no user accounts. You do not register, sign in, or provide a name, email address, or phone number to use it.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

We do not ask You to provide, and do not collect, personally identifiable information such as Your name, email address, postal address, or phone number. The Application has no accounts and no registration.

Usage Data

We operate no servers and run no analytics or crash-reporting service. We therefore do not collect usage data about You — we receive no record of which screens You open, which routes You search, how long You use the Application, or Your IP address.

Google AdMob, the advertising service embedded in the Application, does collect data independently of Us for the purpose of serving ads. What it collects is described in the Advertising and Data Collection section above. We do not receive that data in an identifiable form.

Information Collected while Using the Application

While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We collect, with Your prior permission:

This information is processed on Your device to power station proximity alerts. It is not uploaded to Our servers — We operate none — and it is not provided to a Service Provider by Us.

You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through Your Device settings.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

We may share Your personal information in the following situations:

We do not sell Your personal information, and We do not share Your location data with advertisers, data brokers, affiliates, or business partners.

Sharing a Route

The Application lets You share a summary of a planned route as an image, using Your device's standard share sheet. The image is generated on Your device and You choose where it is sent. It contains only the route You selected — station names, times, fare and line — and never Your current location or any identifier. We do not receive a copy.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We hold no Personal Data about You, so there is nothing for Us to retain. Location data exists only in Your device's memory while a journey or alert is active and is discarded as soon as it ends. Your recent searches and saved favourites remain on Your device until You clear them, clear the Application's storage, or uninstall the Application.

Data collected by Google AdMob is retained by Google under Google's own retention policies, which are described at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

We do not transfer Your data anywhere, because We do not collect or receive it — processing happens entirely on Your own device.

Google AdMob operates globally, so data it collects for advertising purposes may be processed on servers outside Your country, including in jurisdictions whose data protection laws differ from those of Your own. That transfer is governed by Google's privacy policy, linked above.

Delete Your Personal Data

Because the Application stores its data on Your device and We operate no servers, You are in direct control of all of it. You can:

To request deletion of anything held by Google AdMob, please use Google's own privacy controls, as that data is held by Google and not by Us.

You may also contact Us using the details at the end of this policy to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information. Please note that We may need to retain certain information when We have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

Your Rights Under Data Protection Law

Depending on where You live, You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of Your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. This includes rights under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, in India, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

In practice, because the Application collects no personally identifiable information and stores its data on Your own device, most of these rights are exercised directly through Your device settings as described above. Where You need Our assistance, contact Us using the details at the end of this policy and We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Our lawful basis for processing location data is Your consent, given through the operating system's permission prompt, which You may withdraw at any time.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Business Transactions

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Law enforcement

Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Other legal requirements

The Company may disclose Your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information.

If We need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing Your information and Your country requires consent from a parent, We may require Your parent's consent before We collect and use that information.

Links to Other Websites

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let You know by a prominent notice on Our Service prior to the change becoming effective, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
